These Pumpkin Carving Food Ideas Will Thrill the Kids and Impress Your Friends

Want to host a pumpkin carving party but not sure what kind of pumpkin carving food ideas will keep everyone from eating the gourds in front of them? Well, I assume your friends aren’t animals, so you’ll probably be fine, but if you don’t want to take any chances I’ve stolen these fun Halloweeny foods from my friend. No, not the potty training cake friend. A different one. Don’t worry, she knows I’m an idea stealer.

3 Fun Pumpkin Carving Food Ideas

1. Reese’s Pieces Muddy Buddies

If you’ve never had Muddy Buddies, you’re missing out in life in general, but this Halloween version is even better if you’re a peanut butter fan like me. These are seriously so sweet and addicting you are sure to have heart palpitations in no time! Sound like something you’re up for? Cool. This only requires a few changes from the original. Instead of chocolate chips, use peanut butter chips. Skip the vanilla. When you’re done, sprinkle with Reese’s Pieces. Yum!

2. Cinnamon Sugar Halloween Cookies

These are so easy, and you can do any shape if you have the cookie cutters. The first Halloween cutters to jump out of my pile were a pumpkin and a cat, so that’s what you see here. All you need is a pie crust, butter, and cinnamon sugar. Roll out your crust, cut the shapes, and bake for 8-10 minutes at 350°. Then cover with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Easy peasy!

3. Super Easy “Candy Corn”

candied popcorn

Chocolate covered popcorn disguised as the world’s most disgusting candy! I apologize. Wasn’t there an episode of Saved by the Bell with chocolate covered cockroaches or something? That sounds worse. Anyone else heard there’s going to be a revival of this show? Why? But I digress. This is the only way I’ll eat candy corn. Now, my friend got this idea from I Heart Nap Time, but it’s too complicated for me. Instead of all that chopping of candy bars, get some White Cheddar Popcorn and drizzle black and orange icing gel on it and you’re done. Yum!

So that’s three great pumpkin carving food ideas. Now, if you’re in the mood to drink while you carve, I also found a way to ruin any nutritional benefits V8 Splash may have with my Halloween punch recipe this week. Cheers!
